Hello this is Priti Singh corporate trainer. You know how difficult it is working in the corporate world and going away for breaks is really something I look forward to. So when I got an opportunity to apply for leave, I took it upon myself to plan for a trip to Coorg.
The first thing on my wish list was the Abbey falls. Located among the
coffee plantations and the spice estates and I felt it was one of the best things to do in Coorg, as I enjoyed sitting near the verdant greenery and watching the gushing Cauvery River cascading
down the rocks.
The Trek That Bought Me Closer To Nature : One Of The Best Things To Do In Coorg!
The high spot of the visit trek is Brahmagiri Peak, which is full of forest area and lush greenery with a high mountain top view. This trek took me all the way through vibrant fauna, sparkling streams. It was sheer pleasure to watch the flying squirrel and I also spotted deer along the way.
As I am an animal lover I decided I had to visit the Dubare Elephant
Camp. As I reached there was a crowd of nearly 150 elephants and the mesmerizing sight of their stomping and squirting water about was an unforgettable experience which would stay etched in
my memory for a long time. The mahout bathed them and fed them large bananas.
Spend time Amidst the rare species : One of the best things to do in Coorg !
Like I discussed, me being an animal lover I could not miss Nagarhole National Park. This dense jungle has open sight lines, running next to the river bank where one can watch rare animals and birds of nearly 270 varieties. I knew this was the one the best things to do in Coorg, and hence I had reached here, early morning to enjoy it to the fullest.
This park is also known as Kabini and is open all through the year. As I enjoy photography, I had taken my camera to shoot the animals. I saw a leopard sprawled on the branch of a tree languidly. I took a good elephant ride and later I also enjoyed the coracle ride, the boat ride in the Cauvery. Clutching my camera and treasuring my memories of this visit, I swore to return here later.
