In the next leg of my journey, while on my way to a destination in Karnataka, I visited a lesser known place called Bisle. The area is a long stretch of adventure that is spread between the
Subramanya and Sakleshpur.
I did not know of its beauty though. But as I got to know this place more, it turned out to be quite interesting. Travelling in the Ghats was pleasurable as the traffic was less and the bumpy roads provided much of a rowdy ride.
Wandering these ghats, Patlabetta and Kandikallu Hills are worth a watch. The Kanadikallu Hill is unique in many aspects like one of its sides is inclined at 90⁰, hence, impossible to climb and also it reflected sunlight during sunset.
Moving through the Ghats, you will reach what was originally called Bisle, and the fresh breeze relaxes all tension. The place from the top seemed like a vast green land with a fresh atmosphere.
After few minutes of walking, a downward track leads to a viewpoint from where the whole of Bisle can be seen. It is a breath-taking experience as
the place provides a view of three mountain ranges; YenikalluBetta (Hassan district), Doddabetta and Pushpagiri (both located in Kodagu district) and Kumaraparvatha.
Although one could visit this place at any time of the year, but the period from September to December is the best. It is a favourable location for the trekkers, not only because of its beautiful view but also due to its difficult terrain that is the most challenging in Karnataka.
Travelling through this place made an amazing memory. Encountering numerous waterfalls and free spirited peacocks including other animals, makes you fall in love with nature. The rainforests located in this area give Bisle a beautiful view that is an experience to cherish for a lifetime. The place is worth a visit and the serenity of the place is mesmerising.
