The state of Gujarat has produced scholars in every field and sphere whether it is politics, literature or science. The Gujarat Science city is an initiative by the state government and the Union
government to nurture the young minds of the state so as to train them and make them realize their potential.
In the recent years funds have been poured into the science city in Gujarat and a new internship scheme has also been started. On my visit it was great to see young minds at work exploring the mysteries of the universe. It reminded me of my young days when I believed that everything was possible. I could see my inner child popping out once in a while during my trip of the Gujarat Science City.
Ok, now less about me and a bit more about the Science City itself for those of you who might want to visit Ahmedabad it is must see. The I-Max
Theatre is among the best in Asia. The picture quality and hall architecture is such that it feels as if you are in the scene experiencing every little sound and every emotion.
The shows are also varied from the mysteries of the universe to the mysteries that lie deep beneath earth; there is a chance to explore more than you ever have. It is enthralling for youngsters and grown-ups alike.
The Science City also includes a beautiful Amphitheatre and a unique Life Sciences park. The specimens of early dinosaurs and sea creatures are
well preserved in the museum. The guides are highly knowledgeable and take you through every small detail. The next best feature of the Science city has to be the choreographed water show. The
musical rhythms and the jets of water and light interplaying with the beats were fulfilling sights for the eye and the soul.
I left the Gujarat Science City with a visit of the Energy Park. I was shook by the way mankind has been exploiting nature without even realising it. I have a feeling that I will be more responsible towards conserving energy for our future generations after realising the grave danger that we are putting them into.
