So much remained to be done and I was getting a feel of how my days in Lucknow were being jam-packed with sightseeing and attractions. To include Ram Krishna Math Lucknow in the scheme of events was very humbling and an inclusion made me feel thankful for my good health to the Lord. Not everyone is blessed with good health. But here at the Math, a great service is being done to tend to the poor and the needy with state of the art facilities to look after them. One could visit the two aspects of the Math, firstly, one could check the hospital, which has for decades reached out to the ailing and sick and has been successful in providing them with medical help and secondly, one could also go ahead and check the temple premise, which has been recently constructed and has Sri Sri Ma Sharada Devi and Swami Vivekananda as its chief deity.

The polyclinic was inaugurated by Sri Swami Vivekananda himself in the year 1970. As I
entered the premise, the 14-foot high statue made of bronze of Swami Vivekananda came into my view and it continues to inspire the people who work here to ensure kindness in their conduct. The
temple at the math is truly splendid with architectural influences of Jains, Chalukyas, Pallavas and the Mughals. The temple is domed, in fact when I set myself to count, I came across nine domes
and the main dome seemed very high almost close to 90 feet. There are idols of many other Gods and Goddesses within the temple.

In my lifetime, I have had the chance to go to many temples but this temple at
Ram Krishna Math Lucknow struck me as the most peaceful one. The serenity and the
calm in the temple and its Garbh Griha spoke volumes through its peacefulness and invaded my heart with its simplicity. As a branch of the Belur Math Kolkata, the temple and the services did
justice to the institution it belonged to. Another day threatened to conclude and I reverted back to my abode with a future plan of visiting the Indira Gandhi Planetarium the next day.
