Hello ji! Namaste! Sasrikal! I am Priti Singh and I welcome you all to my post. Being a corporate trainer, I am tied up with a busy schedule every day. I often go on a luxurious travel and enjoy shopping and food. This time I want to write about my Punjab trip and my train travel from New Delhi (NDLS) to Amritsar junction (ASR), Punjab by Amritsar Express. I was so excited about this trip that I had already booked 3 first class AC tickets one month ago. Yes, three tickets because I don't like to travel alone and I was accompanied by my college mates Sonali and Richa. It was a morning train at 4:10 am but I was so eager about this journey that I reached the station at 3:30 am itself. The atmosphere was lull and Sonali and Ruchi reached together at 4 am. It felt great as I saw them after 2 years. Thankfully, the train was on time and as soon as the train arrived at the junction, it created hustle-bustle. We started our quest for our seats and we got it within 2 minutes. The train stayed at the New Delhi junction for 20 minutes and started at 4.30 am.
We made sure that our luggage was placed safely and after that we settled down and started talking. We relived our college memories and discussed about the present. We kept on talking for about 2 hours when the train stopped at the Panipat junction. Panipat was the place where a historical battle was fought between Akbar and Hemu; Akbar won it and strengthened the Mughal Empire. Let’s come out of history, Richa got down from the train and bought some snacks and tea for us as we all were hungry. We ate our breakfast and slept as we had been awake since 2 am.
It was 12.30 pm when we got up. I heard some passengers saying that the train was about to reach Ludhiana station at around 1.30 pm. So we planned to have our lunch at the Ludhiana junction. After having our lunch we started playing Antakshari. After that we played Temple run on my new iPhone5S. Then suddenly we heard the announcement that the train had arrived at Amritsar junction. We didn't realise but it was 4:30 pm and we were at our destination. The weary yet joyful train travel from New Delhi (NDLS) to Amritsar junction (ASR), Punjab by Amritsar Express was over.
